A dying queen's wish to her husband was that if he remarried the woman be as beautiful as her and with the same golden hair. No one in the world could rival her beauty, but the queen's own daughter. Horrified, the princess hoped to twart his plan by giving him a seemingly impossible task of creating a cloak of a thousand furs. Not to be deterred, the king succeeded and the girl's only hope was taking up the furry mantle and running away from all she ever knew.
